The City Residence was designed by Architex for a single client, employed as a retreat from a busy professional life. The internet site is created to its maximum each visually and physically, with a play on transparency and the flow of spaces from in to out.
Description of City Home
“A range of outdoor rooms complement the bold pavilion types. They are linked by a circulation gallery – which also creates an axial concentrate for the complete length of the internet site on entry. The street pavilion has the potential to grow to be two guest rooms which share a bathroom and lounge region. The rear pavilion is private and consists of an indulgent principal bedroom suite. Sliding glass panels disappear into pockets to develop open balconies for living and sleeping, and focus on the central courtyard as their oasis. The street facade is specifically private with only a hint of the sophistication that lies beyond in the selection of colour and supplies.”
