Displaying a fascinating silhouette in wood, glass and stone, the Home in the Hills is an exceptional residential project developed by Architectare in Itaipava, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. “Regardless of being in a proportionately massive lot, the developing has its shape defined by the modest triangle of its buildable location on the entrance of the lot, resulting from enforcement of the condominium and nearby legislation“, explained the architects. A variety of neighborhood restrictions dictated a residence exposed to the primary road, which is why the designers chose an “impermeable”street facade.
The opposite side of the residence is open towards the scenic landscape, through generously sized windows and a gorgeous deck connected with the swimming pool. All interiors were envisioned in a contemporary style manner, with an abundance of wood finishes creating a cozy atmosphere. Whilst the initial level ensures a optimum interaction among living spaces, the second is more private and hosts the bedrooms. [Photography: Leonardo Finotti]
